Today (well yesterday) I actually accomplished things. I built a database for my collected data and pulled all of the information from fandomknit, the first community I'm surveying. It's one of the smallest comms dataset wise (the others I'm using in the study are geekcrafts, fandom_knit, and fandom_crafters) and I was surprised by the frequency of information, pattern, and general topic posts in the community. I expected more FOs. But it was really interesting to go through each post one by one and see some of the patterns, and I'm looking forward to the datacollection for the others.

Later, when it isn't 2:30 AM I'll do a write up of exactly what data I'm collecting from each community and what I'll be using it for, but for now I'm pretty happy with how quickly it's going.
